Melting The Roadblocks & Gearing Up For 2017

A few months ago, I asked a question on this subject in a Facebook group, and some of the members responded with what they believe is the common roadblock in their business.

I had responses such as...

  • Mindset
  • Money (the lack of it)
  • Struggle with pricing
  • Overwhelm
  • Lack of sales conversions
  • Inconsistent income
  • Unable to write great copy, with hooks...
  • Not tech savvy
  • Difficulty in moving offline to online
  • How to get in front of ideal clients

Are you experiencing any of the above roadblocks in your business, or something similar?
If yes, then what are you willing to do to overcome them?

In order to go about "melting" the roadblocks in your business, you have to consider evaluating yourself at all times.

- What do you do on a daily basis?
- How are they helping you towards achieving your goals?

More often than not, we tend to grapple with issues that are not necessary or completely out of line with what we are doing (or meant to do).

It's easy to get carried away with anything that pops online; the ideal thing to do is build up your discipline and stay focused on your goals. A lot of the issues listed above often come from distractions; especially when we're trying to joggle a lot of information or get involved in everything that appeals to us.

For issues like tech and transitioning from offline to online, it's always good to consider getting someone reliable to come on board and help out, so that way you can focus on doing what you know best, in order to grow your business.

In my case, I had to learn things the hard way. I learnt how to build websites with WordPress, setup sales pages and funnels, write copy, create email campaigns, do graphics, do videos (+ editing as well), do social media, and many other things. I did all of that because I thought working hard was the way to go, but I didn't know I was on the verge of burnout. Back then, I didn't see the need in hiring anyone to help, because I was trying to "save money."

If that's what you're doing today, just because you want to "save money", then I'd suggest you reconsider what you're doing. Don't save money and lose your health (that is more important).

I believe we can "melt" the roadblocks if we invest in building a smart business, as opposed to trying out everything out there. Not every course is right for you; not every guru can help. You don't need every software or app out there. There's no need to be on all the social media networks.

Find out what resonates with your business and focus on that. If it's something you can't do yourself, then get someone to help, so that way you'll relieve yourself of some of the stress that comes with these roadblocks. My relief came when I got myself a mentor.

When you become accountable, you're more likely to push yourself to do the things which are necessary for success, as opposed to going off track, because your mentor/coach is there to guide you, with advice and other types of information.

If you're saying "but I can't afford to pay anyone to help!", then see what is necessary within your business that you can do yourself and work on that. Then build towards getting help, because one way or the other, you may need the help, and you have to be able to pay for it. In my case, what I did was create eBooks and sold them online to raise some money to get the help I needed.

Even big brands and top entrepreneurs need help; the only difference is that they have the money to spend. But you can get there if you want to.

As we progress towards 2017, it's important to lay out strategic plans right now (not in January), and start looking into the aspects of your business that will bring you the most rewards.

A question I asked a prospect recently when he listed the numerous things he did in his business, was - "which of these will bring your business the most value right now (in terms of revenue)?"

When he responded with what he felt was the core "money maker" for his business, I said to him - "let's start with that!" Why? It's because when you have revenue coming in, you're going to be more stable, and can focus on other things down the line. If not, you're always going to be worried about money and the things that come with it (i.e. bills, tax, overheads, etc).

I wasn't planning to make this post this long, but I believe it'll be of help to someone out there who needs this information.
