The more you feed Facebook with data, based on the people who hit your website or landing page, and the conversions you achieve, the more Facebook recognises who your ideal audiences are. You can then re-market to these audiences over time!

That's what a Facebook Ads pixel helps you accomplish!

To avoid confusion... you can only create one pixel per Ad account, but if you're creating custom audiences, then each audience you create will have its own pixel code, so that way you can build up specific audiences.

One of the ways to start getting cheaper CPC is when you create custom audiences and run Ads to them. There are different ways you can create custom audiences, but let's focus on "website visits" in this context.

This works when you create "clicks to website" and "website conversions" Ads. When the audience is built up, you can then create what's known as a "lookalike audience" from your custom audience... then let Facebook do the work from there. They will do their best to put your Ads in front of the right people!

The Facebook Ads manager has become a very intelligent platform, and when you create Ads in line with Facebook's guidelines, you're more likely to start seeing positive results.

The initial stage of running Ads on Facebook, via the Ad manager, is a testing stage... don't look for quick fixes (exercise patience). While your campaigns are running, keep an eye on the conversions, and the audiences built via the pixel you installed on your website.

If you're not using Facebook Ads pixel yet (or don't know what to do), then it's something you should consider applying within your campaign strategy. It might seem like a complicated process, but it gets easy when you spend a bit of time to learn it works.
