Don't let setbacks in business ruin your drive towards success
If you find yourself in a tough situation within your business as an Entrepreneur, you're better off figuring out how best to break off that chain that's holding you back or putting you in a stagnated state, as opposed to sitting down and playing the blame game.
Yes, we've become "keyboard warriors" thanks to social media. We can type stuff and put together a pity party, however, that's where it ends... on social media. The situation hasn't changed.
Taking responsibility is always the best approach. Best to forget who did or did not do it. Right now, it's how do we (or I) get out of this?
There's a small percentage of Entrepreneurs who're using the same social media to their business's benefit. How so? They're creating contents geared towards helping people within their niche, and gaining more attention and brand awareness off the back of it.
"Is that possible?" Well, go figure!
It's not an accident that some businesses get discovered from investors and/or partners outside their region (i.e. country) of operation. It happens within a process of time based on how active the business has been on these online platforms, distributing information that's value driven.
You don't have to blatantly sell anything (that's where most business owners miss it on social media... the BUY MY STUFF mindset!). All you need to do is understand the concept of brand positioning. What are you bringing to the table and how will it benefit those who access it?
Think more about what others will gain, create solutions on that regard, give it away (for FREE initially) and then watch what happens.
"But I don't know how to create those types of contents?"
If you are able to post selfies and pictures of the meal you had last night at that "fancy" restaurant, then I don't see why you can't create content based on your business. Don't overthink it, just get a little more creative.
"Yeah, easy for you to say; it's not simple as it sounds!"
I never said it'll be easy. In my case, I didn't start yesterday, it took time. What that means is you have to give it a go, be passionate about it, and improve with time.
It's not a fly-by-night process... nothing good comes easy (without patience attached, you're going to cave in midway). That's why EDUCATION is important.. and NO, I don't mean the four walls of a school, but the grit you build from years of experience and the good advices you acquire from people you look up to.
Here's the kicker when it comes to getting the word out about your products/services... it's not about just throwing things on your digital wall and hoping it sticks. Create a story around it (something to "wet the tongue" and intrigue people enough to incite some form of engagement... now that in and of itself is a skill-set to acquire).
So if you're stuck in a rut within your business, it's best to refocus your attention on possible solutions, rather than dwell on what's already happened.
Like the saying - "for things to change, you have to change" - maybe it's time for some changes within your business, don't you reckon?
Thanks for reading... to your success!
