Are People Becoming More Desperate, Or They Still Don't Get It?
I guess I have had more "junk" mail sent to my email account this year than any other year; and I'm not really surprised about that because I've been to a lot of sites lately, and used certain keywords during researches. Some of them just come in at random.
It can be annoying, I know, but these things will always happen. The reason for that is because a lot of marketers today are more desperate than ever. I can understand the fact that people are trying to make head way in this industry of internet/network marketing; but constantly bombarding people's email inbox with junk/spam will not guarantee any success.
There's always a new product coming on board the platform; and there's always that set of people who are easily tossed by the wave of things. You get stuff like - "Hey, it's happening over here; ground floor opportunity, get in and secure your place!"
Okay, pardon me for being lost in the picture; but hey, I'd rather be lost in it than be on; why? So I don't lose my credibility. It's not enough for me to tell someone about how amazing the new pre-launch-ground-breaking-top-of-the-world-opportunity/product is. What can I actually do for that person, to help him/her to also make head way in life. People have become more and more greedy and selfish, forgetting that they need to build a TEAM and help their team members as well.
If you understand how pay it forward works, then you will know that as soon as people join you, it's not about you anymore; it about them. You need to now focus on helping them also get people (Who are willing) to join. Then you can teach them how to also pay it forward. That's duplication in another language.
So we should all stop exhibiting desperation, and focus on building a good name for this industry. The reason a lot of people are becoming more skeptical about the internet/network marketing industry is because of these "Desperados", who only look out for themselves; making this wonderful indsutry look like a scam. If you're on to build a solid business, then do it the right way.
It doesn't matter how many times you hear this, it still needs to be said - "Internet/Network Marketing is a business of people". That means we have to get to know people properly, and be genuinely interested in what they are doing.
Be the person who will uphold the intergrity of this industry, and also help others move forward; then sit back and watch what happens afterwards...

Really? Information Overload? When I see a headline that says Turn $1 into $1000 over night I run the other way. That is why I have a spam folder and I will be sure to black list the author of that email. Just empty my spam folder once a day and I'm done. Look it's not only on the internet. The other day I had taken a walk to the bank and after walking 3 blocks I saw 4 different people selling water for a buck that they bought from the local dollar store @ 6 bottles for a dollar. You are right w

"To be able to build a good online presence, one needs to cultivate the habit of having proper interactions with people, get to know them, before venturing further into any business talks." those who take the time to do that stand out from the crowd, it's sad there aren't more

Exactly; people are sick of the whole information overload. A lot of people are now using social media to spam people, especially on facebook. To be able to build a good online presence, one needs to cultivate the habit of having proper interactions with people, get to know them, before venturing further into any business talks.

People join a lot of different lists in hope of being able to get targeted visitors to buy their product or service, but all it does is bombard your email with junk and most likely you never get a sale. For the most part I think people are absolutely sick of it.

I guess many especially when you a newbie that is when you feel you want to taste everything and make money as easier as possible but end up spamming your mail with junks. The crooks claiming those 'opportunities' distribute your email many times they can. and thereby leaving you desperate with trust of no real program. It is good that we get to know the people behind those programs before giving our email out and other sensitive information.
