Made money in every program I'm currently affiliated with. I don't believe it's the program as much as it is the individual. If a person joins a dozen programs and doesn't make a dime? The only common factor is the individual.
I don't join many "programs" as I sell products and services. My most profitable products, which are really services, is website hosting of which I am a re-seller. I like it because it's somewhat like insurance, when you get someone as a customer, they usually stay and you get paid every year.

That depends on what you mean by recent, because it takes a little time for any business to produce income. I joined Traffic Monsoon less than 6 months ago and it is producing a steady dollar a day for me, which I feel is better than average for a paid to click program. Of course the best part is I do a withdrawal every couple of weeks and the money is in my PayPal in less than 24 hours (usually much faster).
