Team promote spam.

@Gerry if you are one of these numb nuts that likes having your email address abused then that is up to you. however as clearly stated the law is being broken by sending emails to those that have not requested them.

Wow, all this hoopla over something that you can just click a box and say I don't want it. Pathetic!! BTW, if the record shows the date and time you joined teampromote and you still insist you didn't do it.. perhaps you should check and see if someone else in your household did it for you...

@Vishwajeet there are no politics here. I am a concerned member wanting to know why my email is receiving spam from a site I have not authorized to send me any emails. There is also the question of how many more members are having their email abused.

Oh and being signed up as a member of APSense means that the person is a member of APSense, they are not a member of any add-on service until they actually add it. So the idea that being a member of APSense is blanket agreement to receive anything from an add-on service is false. That is not politics, that is the law. Can Spam requires express permission before you send any commercial email-period.

Sorry but Team promote is no different than the APSense communities they are owned by APSense but are add-ons not a part of the APSense Site. As the Moderator of two Communities and eZineSpace, I have no legal right to send emails to anyone not signed up for them or who has asked for that email through those domains. For the record and those that are too blind to read it. I repeat "I HAVE NEVER JOINED TEAMPROMOTE, I HAVE NEVER LOGGED INTO TEAM PROMOTE" I did not want to say this but as my hand is being forced i have no option. I dont care what Philippe says as I do not trust him as far as I can spit, and that is why I have never logged into/joined TP I would not join anything run by him.

I have to make things clear. TeamPromote is one addon service for APSense. Anyone can Join or Quit this add-on service. And if you want to cancel new compaign notification from TeamPromote, just one click in the email to unsubscribe it or goto account page change the subscription option. The other thing about joining campaigns. If you want to join one campaign, you have to share your email with advertiser of campaign. Advertisters may contact you by email for your campaigns.

I don't know why the top level members are arguing for just an email =, which has been sent by teampromote which is a part of apsense. This is not genuine!

this must be with the consent of the members... they must have informed who is in the data list about this updates...

Checking the ownership of TeamPromote will show you that the owner is apsense.com so I think we can say that TeamPromote IS part of APSense.

Based on your logic, Augine, Ask APSense, APSense.Me, the APSense Traffic Exchange, the APSense Wiki, the URL Shortener, EzineSpace, they are on separate domains, so they are not part of APSense? bj I will ask the question to Wincer and let you know. When did you receive these emails from TeamPromote? What was the email address who sent it to you? By the way, you might want to edit your article since it gives false information about TeamPromote when you say: "WRONG Team promote is an add-on just as that crappy Sokule is an add-on they are NOT part of APSense."

@Cindy as expected Rob would be getting emails if he joined. I would like to know how many more that did not join tp are getting emails from it.

Thank you Philippe for your confirmation that the email I received from teampromote.com IS spam as I have NOT joined team promote. So now the question still needs answering is how did my email address get into the team promote database?

If you receive emails from TeamPromote, it's because you have joined it. TeamPromote is part of APSense, we can't join it if we are not APSense members. emails are sent to members who joined TeamPromote to inform them when new campaigns are created or if there are news that concern it specifically.

The only e-mails that I am getting from TeamPromote are Email Notifications about new campaigns (I did leave the initial setting on "My Account"). @ Cindy .. yes, I am getting notification on low credits from APSense Traffix as well :)

@ Rob.... I am sure BJ will ask but I will asks as well... do you get emails from any of the other services that you have added?... Cindy
