Process to Set Up Bigpond Email in Your Mobile App
Setting
up Bigpond email on your mobile device means it can be accessed anywhere.
Follow the steps below to set up your email account in your mobile app:
- Open Your Email App: Go into the settings section
of your email app where there is an option to add a new mail account.
- Select Account Type: Choose IMAP or POP as the type
of account. Selecting IMAP will sync emails across multiple devices.

● Port: 993
● Security Type: SSL
POP:
● Incoming Server: mail.bigpond.com
● Port: 995
● Security Type: SSL
SMTP (outgoing mail):
● Server: mail.bigpond.com
● Port: 465 (SSL) / 587 (TLS)
● Security Type: SSL/TLS
- Enter
Your Login Information: Enter your full Bigpond email address and password.
Some apps may require you to manually select 'Require sign-in' for SMTP.
- Test the Setup: Send a test email to confirm
that everything works fine. Also, try receiving an email to ensure that
incoming settings are correct.
