HTML is an acronym of HyperText Markup Language. This is used in building of web sites and it is widely known as one of the three major components of World Wide Web which are; CSS, HTML and JavaScript.


Who developed HTML?


Hypertext Markup language is a language that was formulated in the year 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee a scientist of CERN FROM SWITZERLAND. Evidently, in the early edition, there were eighteen HTML Tags.


There are more than a hundred and forty HTML tags available but many of them cannot be used in the current browsers.

When using the Internet at early stages, Tim Berners-Lee become the creator of HTML 1. 0 and created WorldWideWeb in 1991 which was then called as Nexus.


This web browser besides HTML appeared to have a critical role to play in the developmental functionality of the internet.


This browsing tool enabled the users to browse and explore the HTML base websites.


Its plain graphical User Interface made easy navigation via hyperlinks that lead to other areas thus laying foundation for today’s web browsing.

1993 was the year that HTML 1 was released into the market. 0. At that point, only a few of the developers have been involved in the construction of the Websites.


Features of HTML 1. 0:

Basic structural parts that were implemented in this HTML version includes Headings, Paragraphs, Lists and Links. Such aids have assisted web developers to order the information vertically so as to enhance the presentation and ordering of information.


With HTML 1. 0, the styling possibilities where limited to change of font type and size in which only bold and italics were available. However, the more advanced versions of these options were reflected in the further versions of the language.


The <img> tag is one of the simplest and the first tag which was implemented in HTML 1. 0, through which web developers could easily insert inline images into web content enhancing textual content and making the observation of web pages easier for end users.
