VIRUS ALERT!!

You should be alert during the next days:

Do not open any message with an attached file called "Merry Christmas" regardless of who sent it, It is a virus that opens as an Open Log Fire and will burn the whole hard disc in your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called "Merry Christmas", though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, a nd there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept

ttp HAV
PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!!

A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yester day afternoon by McAfee . This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored.

This virus acts in the following manner: It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title:

"You've received a Post Card from a Family member".

As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk. Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York, according to news broadcast by CNN.

This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself.

So don't open any mails with subject: "A Post Card from ." As soon as you get the mail, delete it !! Even if you know the sender !!!

Please pass this mail to all of your friends.

Forward this to everyone in your address book. I'm sure most people, like myself, would rather receive this notice 25 times than not at all.

And no matter HOW good the program is, there are very good chances something will make its way in. What happens when that happens? Well, all I am saying is IF that does happen...do not take it and spend hundreds of dollars to get it fixed. There is a solution, and a way to save all that money. I have done it for many here at Apsense, and all over the world. :0)

Well, in todays time MK, it takes way more than that to be protected from viruses, trojans, spyware, ect. If all of these other programs were working we wouldn't be in the pandemic we are in. Now there are very good programs out there....but there are many that are just plain crap. And oh I forgot to mention in my post that I had Spy Doctor as my spyware.
And this is coming from a customer of these programs, not just because of my business. Actually I am in my biz cause I am a raving fan!! I d

Thanks MKWeb...I didn't like Norton either for the same reasons.

I have AOL and it checks the spyware and adware.. So far so good.

lol....yes, I will pray for ya too!!
Tell me about the xmas thing. We got 5 kids over here. We will be lucky to eat with the stuff they are asking for!!!!!

But the most awesome thing is..you won't have to bring it to me. You keep it right where it is at, and my tech support will install it for you....with remote access. I call it the 'magic mouse'
after you give them permission to access to your pc...they take care of everything right there while you sit back and watch!

Hi NoMore and Emily,
You can be protected from viruses and trojans and worms using McAfee and AVG and Norton, but those programs do NOT protect you from Spyware and adware. Malware is usually included along with the Adware group, so it is a good idea to have multiple layers of protection. I use two different Spyware programs along with AVG - Hate Norton it seems to me that it is a virus itself (It acts like a virus attaching itself to all of your programs and slowing down your system)

oh sheesh.
Well, let me just put it this way. I thought I was protected when I had Norton and AVG! I found out that I had over 800 infected files on my pc (with ID) that neither one picked up.
I have many of my subscribers that found out the same with McAffee. Not trying to scare you, but stating the truth. I have a blog with a graph on where McAffee stands http://www.apsense.com/article/113635.html

I feel protected because I have McAfee's VirusScan. But I also have a paper copy of all my contacts and I make a backup cd every so often...Just in case so IF anything does happen I can keep everything up and going.

Is this enough or do I need to do/have more?

I am also protected but I really feel for the people that aren't...

Why people do such horrible things is beyond me!
