Why do people use fake photos for their profile page?

they are not confident, or having some bad intentions

I pic represents you as a person, so yes it is important...i would be reluctant to do business collaboration with somebody who only shows me an avatar...i d be tempted to think the person has something to hide...i wouldn t trust that person!

what is profile photo do with the business. If you think this is the most loyal way then it will be. If you think that subject is more important then it will be . It is our attitude towards a situation that makes persons different, situations different, and that is so world is different in perception of thoughts, and habits.

I think profile photo is not important in making a judgement about a persons honesty. If he just the photo of brad pitt and he has tremendous experience in various fields do you not agree or admire him? Or just you reject him because you have uploaded a fake picture.

Sometimes there is a very sad reason for that. Lack of self esteem and feeling uncomfortable putting up a real picture. Because they consider themselves ugly and non appealing. I have encountered such people. If that applies to you consider this thought. I am sure you have family and friends that do not look like Adonis or Venus. And yet you value and cherish them. And they love and cherish you. It is the value you add to other peoples lives that makes you beautiful in the eyes of the beholder!

Being honest is the only way to go.....A fake photo only gives off fake vibes...

those who have something ti hide themselves under fake photos they loose their credibility because they are afraidof their reality they tend to be scammers in my humble view Be Straight Be transparent Be Real that is the natra who would trust fake people
