Solution 1: Determine If the Issue is With Your File or the Program
Step 1: Open Your File with All Windows Closed
- Launch the desktop version of QuickBooks.
- Choose your company file from the 'No Company Open' window.
- Press and hold the ALT key on your keyboard, then choose Open.
- Holding down the ALT key until the file opens is advised.
- Release the ALT key, type your password if asked to log in, then press and hold ALT once more to choose OK.
Step 2: Suppress the QuickBooks Application
- Once the Ctrl key has been depressed, double-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon.
