Surah Mulk seeks salvation from Allah:
Salvation in Islam is different from other
religions. It can only be achieved through submission to the One True God,
Allah, and His worship. Muslims are born pure and innocent in spirit, but the
corruption of this world indulges them in a state of wickedness.
When Muslims die,
they need prayers and good deeds to reach the gates of Heaven. So if he is a
punctual reader of Surah Mulk, he asks Allah for mercy to save him from
Hellfire. Surely he will be his protector on Judgment Day.
Once, the
companions of the Holy Prophet (sa) pitched their tents on the ground. Beneath
it was a grave he didn't know about. He heard a voice from beneath reciting
Surah Mulk until it was finished, so he moved his tent away. He shared the
story with the Prophet Muhammad, His PBUH, and upon hearing the events, the
Beloved Prophet (PBUH) said:
"This surah saves from grave
afflictions." Learn Tajweed Online
Surah Mulk asks for forgiveness:
When the door of Tauba is closed, and this
Fani Dunya is finished, we will all be presented with the book of our deeds
before Allah SWT. We badly need good deeds. On that day, good or bad, small
actions change our destinies and determine our final whereabouts. Amidst the
chaos and terror, Sura Mulk comes to intercession (sha'fah) with the help of
punctual recitations until he finds a place in Paradise. We all need to recite
the Qur'an regularly to protect ourselves from the smoldering flames of
Jahanam. Prophet Muhammad PBUH said
"Recite
the Quran as he will intercede for his fellowmen on the Day of Judgment."
Surah Mulk
strengthens our Iman and keeps us on the right path:
Unfortunately, we
live in a time when depression and anxiety are rampant. We see him finish his
day in the dark and wake up the next day with the same energy.
But one can realize
the true meaning of life by reciting and contemplating the Surah Al-Mulk before
going to bed. It connects us to Allah's SWT and can serve as a great vessel to
keep our Iman high.
Reader enters Paradise:
Anas ibn Malik said
that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
The Qur'an has less
than 30 verses of his chapter, arguing on behalf of his companions until he
enters Paradise. But, then, it's the next chapter: Blessed are those who take
the rules, Surah Mulk.
The surahs describe
the greatness of Allah and how He created the heavens, the earth, people, and
living things in the best possible way. Humans give us all our blessings, so we
must be grateful for all we have.
