India ready to pitch for Sheikh Salman as FIFA President

With the FIFA Presidential elections round the corner, it is quite a high time that a proper voting strategy is put in place by the All India Football Federation. With all the controversy surrounding the FIFA  Presidential election, it is very important to pitch for the right candidate. With all the deliberations around the elections, the vote of India is likely to go to Sheikh Salman from Bahrain. 

As per the officials of the All India Football Federation, ““Our stand has always been very clear. We would vote the way the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) votes and the Asian confederation is going to seek Sheikh Salman as Fifa president,”. 

 As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has taken several important steps for the progress of the sport in the country and maintained a good relation with the world governing body. As per the officials of the Asian Football Confederation are concerned, it is better to go with Sheikh Salman. Mr. Patel also happens to be the  Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation and has a widespread hold of football administration in the continent. 

Under the Praful Patel profile, Indian football has undergone a few major changes in the last few years. The structure of the I-League has been changed where teams backed by corporate bigwigs now participate. The introduction of new teams with the proper commercialization of the I-League stands out as quite a major factor in Indian football. The ISL has also gained a major amount of attention from the fans and now stands across as one of the most popularly watched sports competitions in the world as far as television viewership is concerned. 

Over the years, FIFA has also collaborated quite well with the top officials of Indian football and allotted a grant of 15 million in order to build the football house in Dwarka. The Presidential elections have already been fixed for the last month of February to be held in the city of Zurich. Except from Sheikh Salman some of the candidates fighting for the coveted post are Prince Ali and Jerome Champagne. It remains to be seen who manages to emerge winners in the FIFA Presidential elections and Sheikh Salman is obviously a very good candidate.
