CAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria & Exam Pattern
Common Admission Test 2017 exam will be held online in the 3rd week of November 2017. Admission in IIMs and other leading b-schools will be done on the basis of merit that will be decided through normalization of raw score into percentile score. Higher the score means better chances of allotment. Duration of the exam will be 3 hours and a total of 100 questions will be asked from the candidates. The sections from which questions will be asked are - Quantitative ability (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC). Number of questions will be 34, 32, and 32 respectively. Application form of the exam can be filled from 1st week of August 2016 to 2nd week of September 2016. Fee for application form will be Rs.1600 and Rs.850 for general and reserved category candidates respectively.

• Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized institute. Graduation can be in any discipline, but the duration must be at least 3 years.
• He must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in the degree program. For reserved category, aggregate percentage score is 45% in degree program.
• Final year candidates are too eligible, provided that they provide documents of passing the exam before deadline. Admission for them will be provisional.

The form will be made available in the 1st week of August 2017. The last date to fill the CAT 2017 application form 2017 will be in the 2nd week of September 2017. There is only one mode to fill the form i.e. online on the official website of the examination. Direct access link of the form will be provided on EntranceCorner website. Additionally, they must upload scanned images of signature and photograph in correct format, size, and resolution. At this stage, choices of exam centers must also be made. The last step is to pay application fee of Rs.1600 through credit card, debit card, and net-banking. Fee for reserved category candidates is Rs.850. payment proof must be printed as reference in the future. Candidates are suggested to note down application ID and password separately.
