All About JEE Main 2016 Cut Off Score
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main is the national level exam which is scheduled to be held on 4th April 2015 (pen pencil mode) and 10 & 11th April 2015 (online mode). Purpose of this competitive exam is to admit candidates to India's renowned and reputed engineering colleges. After the completion of JEE Main exam, CBSE (exam conducting body) will release JEE Main result on 27th April 2015. Once the exam result is declared, JEE Main 2016 Cut Off will be issued by the examination board.
What is JEE Main 2016 Cut Off ?
Cut off can be defined as the minimum marks or rank which must be scored by the candidate to get included in merit list. On the basis of JEE Main cut off score, participating colleges and institutes will select the best lot of candidates among the total candidates for admission into B. Tech, B.E and B. Arch courses.

1. Once JEE Main result is disclosed, exam conducting body will prepare a merit list. This merit list will contain the names of those candidates who have achieved equal to more than cut off score.
2. Candidate with highest marks will be positioned at the top of the list.
3. Participating colleges and institutes will decide their opening and closing rank for admission purpose.
4. JEE Main examination board will decide cut off on the basis of various factors such as- number of applications received, difficulty level of exam, cut offs of previous year, availability of seats and performance of candidates in the exam.

JEE Main Exam Pattern
Exam pattern describes all the important aspects of JEE Main competitive test conducted by CBSE. Candidates desirous of taking admission in reputed engineering institutes must go through the below mentioned exam pattern.
JEE Main exam comprises of 2 papers namely : -
1. Paper I – It will be for the candidates who want to take admission in B.E and B.tech course. Applicants can attempt this paper in online as well as in offline mode.
2. Paper II- All those aspirants who are willing to take seats in B. Arch course , have to write Paper II. The only mode to attempt this paper is offline.
Time allotted to complete each paper is 3 hours.
JEE Main Paper I – Exam Pattern
Paper I will contain questions based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Nature of questions will be objective type where candidates have to mark correct answer out of four given options.
For each wrong answer, ¼ marks will be deducted and every correct answer will fetch 4 marks.
There will be no deduction of marks for un-attempted questions.
JEE Main Paper II- Exam Pattern
Just like paper I, paper II will also consist of multiple choice questions. There will be total three sections in the paper I.e- Aptitude test, Drawing test and Mathematics.
JEE Main Exam 2015- Important
Candidates are advised to bring JEE Main admit card alternatively known as hall ticket to the examination hall. Without valid hall ticket, aspirants will not be permitted to write the exam.
