Would you go to Heaven if you knew you were going to be the only person there?

I am astonished that you should turn away so quickly from him who called you by the grace of Christ to another Gospel.
Not that there is another gospel, but there are people who trouble you, and want to overthrow the gospel of Christ.
But when we ourselves, when an angel of heaven announces another gospel than the one we have preached to you, let him be anathema!

Thomas, question wasn't intended in a literal way like that but you got me on that one because it's based on each person's interpretation.

Let's go with how you answered the question...the body you are in how many people are in there with you? If you don't do the right thing what will happen to thousands of people? When you die do you die alone...from the departure of your body-spirit, right? Who is it up to for you to get to heaven or hell right now?

It would be impossible to be the only person in heaven because God's throne is there: "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;" - Revelation 5:11. Even if you don't want to include angels as persons, which they are, the elders definitely are persons.

Going to heaven is purely a matter of personal volition, but going to hell is a foregone compulsion for previous accumulated sins. Going to heaven is a daring decision, but coward s are always free to go to hell.

Cristiana N., in my opinion you got it...everyone in a sense comes into the world alone and will leave out the same way. Only person that can get you there is you. I think many count on others to get them through everything that they loose touch with themselves. Thanks

I would choose to go to heaven for two reasons:
1. I think that God is too kind and sooner or later I would stop being alone because other souls would go in heaven.
2. the very presence of God would prevent me from feeling lonely.
3. Anyway, in heaven there are angels who serve God and saints who praise the Lord, so heaven it's already pretty crowded.

faii acy, then the 2nd part of the question would be: rather you go to hell with everybody there or Heaven by yourself? To answer your question...it is my understanding only you by your decisions can get into Heaven...thus, if everyone decides to not to do what it takes it would matter...
