Yes, it is true that not only google but many web hosting companies also prefer wordpress as a user and SEO friendly CMS for Web masters and for bloggers. It is easy to use, there is no need to programminfng and coding knowledge needed,
Blogger is good too But word press with your own Domain Name shows your a Real Marketer I like being real I would use blogger for back links and yes Google loves fresh original content that's what it loves. If you just use copy and paste content you may as well hang it up because Google will hate you. And will not list you in a Million Years
wordpress stand alone is better than blogger because as all said and it's true : blogger blogs mean backlinks and that's all, blogger don't give you too much possibility to tweak and optimize your blog...
I am using blogger for about a decade now. In between I, on many occasions, have tried to use WP. But time and again I have found BLOGGER more user-friendly. Word Press is too complicated
Thank you Free 2, that's what I was looking for. Which platform indexes the fastest, and ranks highest. My question was aimed more at the "guru" claims about which platform is better, and which the SE's like better.
In my opinion, Wordpress installed on your hosted service is the way to go. There's a hell of a lot that you can do with the themes and plugins available for Wordpress. Blogger is not half as proficient as Wordpress. @Franto Hruz: You can promote affiliate programs if you use Wordpress installed on your hosted service but not if you use the free version of Wordpress hosted on their server.
There is nothing that compares to Word press with your own Domain Show folks your serious about your business blogger is good for backlinks to your real blog with your own domain.
I prefer Blogger, 'cos I start using this free service from the first time I'm online until now and from my experience, Blogspot will index fast at google. I want to learn more about WordPress, but I need a lot of time to do this.
hmm...this is really hard question. From my point of view - if we compare free services xxx.blogspot.com and xxx.wordpress.com than there is no doubt - blogger is better because at wordpress you have a lot of limitations. But if you compare wordpress and bloggesr in your domain than wordpress is much better because you can better adjust wordpress for your needs.
@ Phil - no need for you to go around and play the important one who has to tell everyone what to do as if you now owned this site ... got the basic idea?
@ Phil - because you don't get the whole idea of what the discussion was all about! Does WP prohibit Affiliate Marketing? Yes or No? Now you come along with nothing in your head but BS and make some noise when you could have looked at the example I'm showing the people who have an interest ... obviously, your interest is ONLY in being a BIG mouth with out much behind it all - so go away and keep quiet please & thank you!
@ Phil - as always, you have to mouth off to show that you have no idea what the topic is all about! You keep trying to be important even when you obviously haven't the brains for it.
For Features I Always prefer Wordpress. I totally agree with philippe that if you have your own hosting & Installed wordpress. Then its really fantastic for you as blogger.
Wordpress, the self hosted one, is the best. You have the freedom to do what you want. You can even sell your site for good amount of money. Blogger limits your capability to customize your site but the good thing about a free blogger blog is FREE.
@Vince ... did you take a look at my WP Blog "The Business Builder Group" ... it wasn't hard at all to set up ... I am able to help any one who wants to sell Affiliate Products or Recurring Income Products & Services from their WP Blog ... and do it very quickly and successfully ...
@Franto... yes, it allows affiliate marketing, but they have a very strict rules in it, even in displaying ads. The thing is, you will need to have a good amount of traffic first and you affiliate marketing implementation has to be a part a huge legitimate business such as Amazon. This is why if you are just starting up and you want to at least monetize it, will be hard for you to use Wordpress.

I love Wordpress as long as it's self hosted. But granted its a battle between the free blogspot and free wordpress, I will go for Blogger.

@Franto, it is possible to discuss things without advertising, and it can be civilized, no need to insult people or put them down.

Look at all the other comments, Franto, nobody is advertising their stuff specifically, you're the only one who did.
And you insult me, too, not very nice
