Deb...you have a great point about sharing contact information. For me, it's not that I don't intend to share contact information but I forget to click that little button when I accept or send a request. >_< !!! I would always share my contact information with everyone. If for some reason my contact information is not showing up for you, please don't hesitate to let me know and I can g
All good points here, and I concur with Neville on the multiple accounts thingy. Some programs promote the practice of creating hundreds/thousands of social networking accounts under different names and photos and spinning articles in order to create backlinks to a money site.
It is our personal decision to use our original one or fake one. i think whichever photo you use it doesn't matter. your posts, comments and business matters than any other anything.
Being able to trust someone with whom you intend to have a business relationship is paramount. Using a fake picture is like false advertising. I will not have business dealings with anyone who portrays themselves to be someone they are not. I also don't like it when someone requests to add me as a contact but does not share their own contact information. For me, that is another indication that they are hiding something or have ulterior motives for wanting me as a contact.
@Jan, APSense is not a social network, so if my child wanted to start a business, I would first discuss things with him/her. I take for granted that the child would be at least 14 years old, so there would be no harm, as I expect that if the child is mature enough to want to build a business, he/she will be aware that some people are not what they seem
I agree with Philippe..
For security (privacy) reasons it does not matter if you hide your profile picture on social media like Facebook, Twitter, etc. But for business community like APSense using fake profile photos certainly raises questions for other members.

I don't care. If they have a fake picture I will not accept their friend requests like I did in the past.

on Facebook, I understand the privacy thing. But on APSense, why would you want to keep private, since you are trying to build a business
