This usually takes place when you are dealing with individuals who only care about themselves, but that's o.k. because there are that many more who do not operate like this and if you have been online for any real amount of time you will learn to recognize these types individuals.
hmmm...not so much as frustration but disappointment. Disappointed that they didn't commit to their words but I guess I should not have set that expectation there,..expecting that people do do exactly as they say they would...actually commit to their words. I mean what are words? If they have no meaning they why speak them, at all?
My pleasure Lisa! I have experienced the frustration you are feeling too. It has just made me more vigilant and focused on looking for good and dependable people to work with or just get to know better as friends.
We have been taught more and more to 'drop the ball' on friends, family, loyalty to companies, charities, volunteering, taking care of elderly people, recycling, over-consuming and being honest and truthful online. A lot of people only look for what benefits 'me' and not 'you'. It is the world that we helped create and the way to change that is to just be you and lead with integrity, watch for people who are not and stay away from them. You will find the people who do 'follow through'.
Thank you for the response Md Rezaul Karim. I'd say if it was meant for later I can understand your reasoning, but it was an immediate exchange in a matter of less than 1 minute; they changed their mind and bailed out of a commitment. Baffles me.

It's 'cause people have many other priorities and factors that jump in ahead of something they plan to do, forgetting the earlier priorities.
