Acknowledging God's very presence, listening to that still small voice, appreciating God's grace and being thankful for everything is my way of meditating. I know God will answer my prayers because I believe! Knowing that God is the Creator and that we are all created in his image, focus on what you want, not what you don't want. We are Gods! God does love us, and blesses us, but God is not our genie in a bottle who does whatever we wish,either. there's balance in all things.

Although I believe that the answers above are pretty good ones, I think that nothing beats fasting, and I mean no water no food.. I used to pray but it seemed that it just wasn't being heard till I started fasting,once I started fasting once a week prayers were being answered so quickly that I forget I prayed for it..
