If we follow the "gun control" logic, we need to ban cars because cars a responsible for a lot of deaths. We need to ban airplanes because they crash and kill innoncent people. We need to ban hamburgers and sodas because they cause heart disease.
All of this is done in the name of safety and protection. But it is done at the expense of our liberties.
If we ban the guns, how can I defend myself and my family from someone who is carrying a "banned" gun?
Gun control would not have prevented this.
One of the ways that might possibly help would be to put trained armed guards inside the schools.
The so called "big gun" was left in the car.
The right to keep and bear arms is not so an individual can go hunting. It is to stop the government from reaching a point where they can rule the citizens under a dictatorship or by force.

I think at minimum, they should consider beefing up security around campuses during school hours. I don't think there's enough security in place currently...at a majority of the campuses. I mean there was a community college in my area that had a rapist going around for a few years before they decided to put in security to patrol the area. Now the crime is gone but can you imagine for all the victims? Or the victims after the 1st incident who could have been prevented/protected if they had de
I believe in the right to bear arms. I have not heard of any great solutions for gun control without compromising the right to bear arms. It's the same for drugs. Even though drugs are illegal, they still find its way on the streets sold to druggies. And in the context of murder suicide does it even matter if there was control if it was their intent? What kind of control can you have over a premeditated murder? If they wanted it o happen, I think they will find a way. It's just my opinion.
I couldn't agree with you more Harry. And these incidents are mainly happening around school campuses. I certainly don't believe that a community pulling together to fight crime is not going to deter criminal activity. I mean in my neighborhood, none of this stuff can happen on our block because neighbors all know each other and we immediately report suspicious activity. On top of that we have cops patrolling our neighborhood every 5 minutes, at least.
No Lisa, I can't believe this senseless sickness...kids never should be harmed in anyway...I think we need to send find a way to protect kids around the world better.
