A prime example is the Christopher Dorner case. The names and titles are real. There is merit behind his words. They discredit him. Label him insane. Wouldn't you go insane if all you want to do is the right thing but people just want to corrupt you? A person like him would be killed, wanted dead - not alive. And so he is dead. Even if he held a white flag up and said he wants to stand trial, they wouldn't let him. They tried to shoot at his car (when they suspected it was his car) but

On another note, the news media are a bunch of liars. They don't report the real news; they only report what the government wants you to hear. When you turn off the news, you find the truth a lot easier. Even going out there to actually talk to the people you will realize it's completely different than what the news reported. The news will not allow the truth to come out. The more truth the people know, the more they will take down the powers in existence now and they will not allow that to

Thanks for the share Rod.
I agree with you Terry, fight guns with guns. No Hitler in U.S.
Dennis, guns don't kill people; people kill people. Simple.

If tools that are designed as weapons could be banned, I know that would not be practical, then tools that were designed for other purposes would be used as weapons.
In an ideal world there would be no need for weapons but that will never happen due to mans innate greed,

Dennis, I agree with you that something should be done.

However, in our constitution, armed citizens were provided to prevent hostile take over by an enemy or government. It has been the government removing guns for law abiding citizens that open the door to rogue governments. It was not written in our constitution for hunting food, it was written to prevent tyranny.

Writing laws will not stop the "crazies" from going on shooting rampages. Armed resistence will.

Anyway, I wish you well. Yo

I think this is an argumant that can go on for a long time, there are strong views on both sides. You have minority of vicious thugs in all cultures who destroy things for the peace loving majority. If that were not the case these discussions would never need to occur. Having been bought up in a culture where guns are purely used to keep vermin under control and for shooting food I find it difficult to understand the feeling of using them for personal defense.
However the point is something nee

Dennis, no offense, but our cultures are different.

Also, no offense but I don't want to be a "little UK."

If you think it is working for you, then great but don't try and push your over reaching laws onto us. You also have the largest number of security cameras in the world, a health care system that is in shambles. It wasn't too long ago that you were dealing with the IRA and fighting riots.

Go back in history and Hitler took the guns and then started WW2. Your history speaks volumes an

Here in the UK we have some of the tightest gun laws in the world, and among the lowest instance of gun crime in the world. The majority of illegal guns found over hear are bought openly in the US and illegally smuggled in. I think that speaks for itself

Terry - Good for you and I totally agree with your method about increasing security and allowing them to carry arms. The best defense is to have the same offense.
Right on target Rod. I was talking about the same thing. Thank you for sharing all. ^_^

Gun control? An armed society is a polite society. Remember Hitler? He took the guns, then in return provided the ammo. History repeats!

What is driving the purchase of guns is the distrust of the government by the American people. There is no way you can take guns off the streets. There are too many and it is impracticable.

Why not ban criminals and mentally ill people? Because "Banning" something does not make anyone safe.

There were already laws "IN PLACE" "Banning" this shooter. Maybe he didn't get the memo.

Put armed guards in the school and let teachers carry concealed legal weapons if they choose. At least, they woul

That may be true Hop Trieusung. Thanks for sharing. On the other hand...if I buy a gun, let's say handgun, I don't think it's fair to request for a background check. I should be free to own a gun, that's my right. While I do understand it's to deter the crazies from owning any guns however it's not going to stop them from getting one. If they really wanted a gun, they can go through the black market and buy one which makes no sense at all to make such a requirement for gun purchases. I beli

There are way to many guns on the streets of our cities. Most shootings are not done by way of self defense...ie... protecting family from someone who assaults them, no most shootings are from criminals on the streets, craze people in the world and by love ones. So I say to all people do we really need guns in our society?? we never should have assault weapons on our streets.....period!! Only law enforcement and military should have access to these weapons.

Yep, it's too broad for control besides it's our right to bear arms. You can't take away that freedom that's written in our Constitution. The freedom we once fought so hard for. It's like asking to go back in time. How many of us are willing to move backwards?
