Anyone really benefited from Amazon affiliate program?

For all of the Business they get from the publisher's, advertisers and affiliates you would think they would pay a better %. I have one loyal returning customer after 3 yrs. and have made less than $10.00 in commissions.

I have been a affiliate for many years and yet have made one dollar, they do have a lot of marketing materials and banners it takes sometime to add to websites traffic exchanges. I do believe you can make money in this program if you can blog and write articles and add back links to amazon, I am not so good in writing articles and blogs, but I will be looking into having this done.

@Michael B - A man (can't remember his name) is using this method and he's making money with amazon using squidoo. The info I got based on amazon and squidoo, I hear is a great way to drive traffic and one of the best ways to directing traffic to your amazon affiliate site and make sales. Which there is a course that in it he also shares other information that is great to add to them both to increase you possibilites. :)

A couple of things to note regarding making money with Amazon... In the past I had a blog about pregnancy & had Amazon products throughout the blog, using different Amazon widgets. I did make some money, but nothing to brag about.

Actually, Charalampos, I believe James' answer is relevant, since it's another way to use Amazon's affiliate program, as a product creator instead of simply being an affiliate. Some people might have been tempted to sell their own products on Amazon, and James' comment is a reminder of that.

No, I have did not tried the Amazon Affiliate program, But I assure That They are Paying Their affiliates on time. There is no doubt about Amazon's Genuineness.

One of the best ways to make money with amazon is to create your own product or find a product that you can buy cheaper than what is on amazon and sell through amazon. Its like any business you need to research, implement, adjust and market.

Nope, the commissions you make are so low on physical products unless you got yourself a huge store it's really not worth it.

I made money by using a combination of Amazon ans Squidoo. Just make Squidoo lenses based on Amazon products. I also made money with it with a blog based on an Amazon product.

Amazon affiliate program is a good program but in my personal thinking that very few persons are succeeded....
