Uttar Pradesh – State with different cultures
Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in India which borders
with Nepal and other Indian states like Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan,
Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh. The state is also densely
populated crossing 200,000,000 numbers making it the most populated state of
India. Some of the most popular tourist destinations are in UP like Agra,
Allahabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, etc. which are filled with tourists
throughout the year. The reason behind this is the culture, art, heritage, and history,
which attracts people from around the globe.
Uttar Pradesh is the home of many cities but there are two
major cities which are like heart and soul of this state, Lucknow and Varanasi.
These both states are home to many people from abroad who live here and learn
about the Indian culture. Lucknow is known as the capital of Uttar Pradesh
whereas, Varanasi is known as the religious capital of Uttar Pradesh. Here are
the reasons why Lucknow and Varanasi are so popular among the tourist.
Lucknow
1.
Lucknow is also known as the city of
Nawab’s, because of its history. The place was built by Nawabs and kings that
used to rule in Lucknow.
2.

which is one of the main reasons of tourist attraction. Some of the most famous
places in Lucknow are Bara Imambara, Aminabad, Dargah of Hazrat Abbas, Tomb of
Mir Babar Ali Anis, Rumi Darwaza, Qaisar Bagh, etc. These are only few of the
main historical places; there are many places one can visit.
3.
Second reason why tourists visit this place
is the food. Lucknow has its own cousin known as the Nawabi Cousin. This cousin
consists of biryani, kebabs, breads which are popular throughout the country.
Tunday kebab is world famous item which was originated in Lucknow only.
Varanasi
1.
The religious capital of Uttar Pradesh is the
second name of Varanasi. The city is also called Banaras and is situated at the
bank of holy river Ganges.
2.
Varanasi comes in the seven sacred cities of
Hinduism and had played an important role in developing Buddhism.
3.
This is one of the most important all the Hindu
people in the world because of it closely related to all the Hindu mythology.
4.
There many historical places in this place like Jantar
Mantar, Ramnagar Fort, Alamgiri Mosque, etc.
5.
The place is the home to a famous temple Kashi
Vishwanath Temple, which comes under 12 shivlinga.
The distance between both these important cities is 510 km
approx. The distance can be travelled via both train and road. The train starts
from Lucknow and travels to Varanasi JN. The train take around 14 hours to
reach its destination if there is no delay in between. As both the cities are
major tourist attractions, having a confirmed train ticket is like winning a
lottery. If you want to check Krishak Express 15008 seat availability,
you can log in IRCTC for that and booking your ticket 15-20 days prior your
journey is advisable because the tickets are not available that easily.
