Most of the fitness experts now suggest that the workout routine should not be monotonous but should have a variation in activities.  Let’s take a look at some of the fitness trends that you can include in your daily workout regime. These fitness trends are easy to follow and motivate you to make fitness a part of your life. 

  1. Wearable technology: If you wish to monitor your daily activities, track sleeping patterns, plan to get started with a new fitness program or run a marathon, wearable technology is what you need. Some of the most popular wearable technology includes Jawbone UP3, Moov Now, Fitbit Flex,and the Apple watch. You can even improve your back pain and posture by wearing specialise apparel referred as Alignmed.
  2. Combined Group Fitness Class: Merging various exercises into one exercise program is becoming popular among fitness enthusiasts. The combination includes cycling and boxing and treadmill running and strength training.
  3. Body - weight training:These exercises are super convenient and do not require any kind of gym equipment. Moreover, they can even be done from the comfort of your home. Body weight training exercises are a mix of cardio, muscle toning and strength training. My personal favorites are squats, push ups and lunges.
  4. Strength training: Body weight training, power lifting and conventional strength training exercises all contribute to building a stronger body, a healthier heart, a slimmer and healthier you and reduces your risk of diabetes and other diseases. 
  5. Flex Pilates:This group class consists of Pilates combined with strength training exercises and music. The program is a good workout for abs and leg stretching, 
  6. High Intensity Interval training (HIIT): The program consists of intense aerobic and anaerobic exercises followed by a short recovery period. HIIT burns more fat than regular exercises and results in improved glucose metabolism. 
  7. Yoga :It is an ancient Hindu tradition  and is now widely accepted in the West due to its never ending benefits. Yoga is not only about stretching or balancing but also about rejuvenating the body, mind and soul.
