In a turn of events, American urban fantasy television show Lucifer might have predicted the “future” of a different series. The event in the picture is the sixth annual crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths featuring episodes from Batwoman, Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow on the CW.

This assumption has been made from a line spoken in Lucifer Season 2 Episode “Sin-Eater”. While the detective Chloe Decker and Lucifer are working on a case, a website with a threatening message “judgment day” pops up on the detective’s computer. Following which Lucifer makes a remark stating “Judgment day? Those people should be careful about how they use that phrase. It isn’t due for another couple of years”. However, the episode was televised in the year 2016, three years before the event of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

The Crisis Event Destroyed and Recreated the Arrow-verse

The Crisis on Infinite Earths initially aired at the end of 2019 and concluded in January 2020. The event wholly destroyed and re-created the multiverse of the Arrow-verse. All the superheroes who were a part of the Arrow-verse engaged in a battle with the Anti-Monitor, a role portrayed by LaMonica Garrett. This is where Lucifer comes into the picture. The fallen angel made a small appearance in The Flash Part 3 when the lead characters went to Lux, Lucifer’s nightclub in the city of Los Angeles to ask for his help.

While talking to a local media outlet, Tom Ellis (Lucifer) stated that they were making it look like the Devil’s meeting with people from the Arrow-verse happened around five years before he met the detective in Los Angeles.

This means that every story of Lucifer takes place in what can be said is the Arrow-verse’s future. However, it was confirmed earlier that Lucifer is a part of the multiverse owing to his cameo in The Flash.

Crossover Event Inspired by a Comic Book

Crisis on Infinite Earths was inspired by a comic book of the same name and continued the storyline established in the previous crossover titled Elseworlds. The previous episodes of Arrow Season 8 and The Flash season 6 served as a prelude to the Crisis event. The first references of the crossover were mentioned in the year 2014 with The Flash’s first episode. The next crossover will be between Batwoman, Superman, and Lois. However, it will air in the year 2021. Robert Rovner and Marc Guggenheim wrote the crossover event.

The Devil is Coming Back to LA

Netflix Original Lucifer is gearing up for a premiere on August 21, 2020, and the makers have already revealed that the Tom Ellis show will be back for a final and sixth season. The makers said that they were going to make the 5th season with a run of 16 episodes. According to reports, they said that the 16 chapters would be divided into two parts, i.e. eight episodes each.

Lucifer is an American Television series that first premiered four years back on January 25, 2016. The web series is based on the character created by Mike Dringenberg, Sam Keith, Neil Gaiman from the comic book series The Sandman. Lucifer is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television.

Lucifer revolves around the story of Lucifer Morningstar who exits Hell and comes to the city of Los Angeles. The former angel owns a nightclub Lux and goes on to become a consultant to the Los Angeles Police Department and Detective Chloe Decker, helping her solve crimes.
