The Chat

Yesterday I was on skype with a good friend of mine, talking about business and life. Our discussion got to be long, so here is to resume it a bit:

Me: How are you?

My friend: Tough times, my wife is in depression

Me: Why? I am really sorry! I know how it is... I was in it for almost 2 years! Was very hard to get rid of it. But what happened?

My friend: Mainly her lack of success in keeping jobs...

Me: She needs a job, that's the global problem today.

My friend: Tough to explain... and tough to manage stress.

Me: I see, I told you I was there and I know it is not easy.

My friend: Did it happen long time ago?

Me: I just got rid of it in December 2011. It was because of no orders (no job) at my building company, bank loans, debts, etc. However, I am a strong Christian believer, but still had huge problem to get rid of stress and depression. Trying to realize what happens to me, but no way! Then something happened, in December last year, since then I am back to life!

My friend: Can I ask what happened?

Me: It is a long story... hard to explain. It was dust, it was darkness, and it was almost no life! However, I am more than conscious of where I was and where I am now.

My friend: Cool. Do you have a blog? You could write about that! It wasn't the Holy Spirit who woke you up :)

Me: You can say it in that way, but it was something very human happening; God has His fantastic ways!

So, at my friend's suggestion, I have decided to write the story here.

 

The Real Life Story

We switched from chat to phone, and here is the story... Irina, a friend of us from Wien, she is a nurse, invited me and my wife there to make a health test in a (strange for me…) medical cabinet. She didn’t know about my depression, we didn’t know it either. Just having stress and trying to survive in these tough days…

Irina drove us to a doctor and in her medical cabinet and I was ‘wired’ to some strange apparatus for a general health test. After half hour of lying in a bed with all those wires on my body (arms, feet, chest), the doctor reads the results on a high tech computer. Among few things there, the doctor told me that my body and soul has few very dark energy areas that must be cleaned up by a treatment in her cabinet in the next day. I did not believe a word the doctor was saying…

However, finally we decided to go on with this experience. Next day I was again connected to that strange apparatus and for one and a half hour was lying quiet there, waiting to see the miracle!

After the treatment was finished, the doctor told me, you are clean and back to life now. So, we left the cabinet. I did not realize any difference in my body and life in that moment, but next day when I woke up, I felt like I am a different person, full of life and strength again!

Don’t ask what happened there, but since then I could take over all my normal responsibilities as a father of 9 kids and a grandpa of 9 grandkids, and as a businessman who has to run a company, with an international branch, that was in danger to go bankrupt.

In 5 month since this happened we are back to work, the company have extended with another branch in the Gambia, Africa, we have improved a lot the technology and all the company’s websites, the clients started to come to us again. We have them now here and real, building eco passive houses in Romania and selling prefab house kits in Italy and other European countries, developing a huge green photovoltaic project in the Gambia, and so on! 

Over all, as a passionate online marketer, I have found 2 more very powerful businesses on the Internet, which are bringing passive income and covering a big part of my online business expenses.

 

The Conclusion

Depression is World's number one health problem. Depression seems to overwhelm with a vicious suddenness and inner resources are slowly exhausted until one day there is nothing left.

Many believe that depression is simply a spiritual problem while others insist it is an emotional and physical disorder. They are all right. Studies indicate that over half of all women and one out of three men struggle with depression on a regular basis. Because no one is immune to the darkness, we must learn to face it honestly, with emotional integrity.

That moment came for me in 2010 when I realized that something was drastically wrong, but didn’t know what it is! I was absolutely empty and completely exhausted. Too many problems came over my life suddenly!

No wonder I was struggling. Being a perfectionist, also having to take care of a huge family, I had always been a very strong person.  Now I, the strong one, couldn't get out of bed... Many times I walked to the front door of the office or church but couldn't go in. I was paralyzed, imprisoned in a bottomless pit where loneliness and despair reigned. 

I had no idea how I had gotten there and what was even more frightening was the fact that I had no idea how to escape! Then, as a strong believer, together with my wife, we did the only thing we could do. We cried out to God.

Please, never give up! If you need help, do not hesitate to ask for it. I was there and know how it is, but I also know that there is the One who created us and He can find the way and people who can help you to get rid of darkness and bring light and life back to you!
