WARNING: Your PayPal Account May Be At Risk!

Hi APSense friends,

Here is a letter just received by e-mail from an old marketing guru online... I thought you may want to know about it and avoid problems.

______________
If you sell or promote products online and you accept payments through PayPal, I encourage you to read this entire post…It’s THAT important.

This article is not intended to scare you. But instead to make you aware of the changes that are taking place in the IM market.

Here’s my story…

I have personally processed over $1,000,000 in sales through PayPal in the last few years. I remember hearing the horror stories years ago about merchants having their accounts and all their money frozen for several months.

I remember thinking, “That will never happen to me. I just sell information products. I’ll be fine as long as I stay away from MLM and other high-risk business opportunities.”

BOY, was I WRONG!

PayPal recently froze my account and they are keeping over $6,000 for six months. But that is not the worst part! They canceled well over $20,000 in recurring subscriptions.

70% of my income, GONE in 60 seconds!

You know what their reason was? They said my site was a work-at-home business opportunity site and that it violated their terms of service!

This site! => FanPageTrafficSystem.com

I told them that it’s an application that builds iFrame Pages on Facebook. “It’s just SOFTWARE!” But they wouldn’t listen…They froze my account and refused to take my calls.

But it gets even worse…

I needed some cash flow, so I developed a new Facebook App called the Optin App and I launched it in the Warrior Special offer forum with my friend Todd Gross. Since I didn’t have a PayPal account, we ran the sales through Todd’s account.

We dumped about $74K into that account in 3 days and we were transferring the money to our bank accounts as soon as it came in. A couple weeks went by and all was good until Todd called me the other day. His PayPal account was permanently frozen – just like mine.

This guy named David at PayPal said that this site => www.optinapp.com was MLM. It’s a SOFTWARE application and the sales letter doesn’t even talk about making money from home or anything like that. Todd argued with him…asked him if he even knew what MLM was…

He said, “These types of sites are high risk and against our terms of service.” That’s exactly what he said…

Yesterday, my friend Spencer (one of THE top sellers in the WSO forum) got his account shut down too. He sells Word Press plugins. I started talking to other Warriors and discovered that dozens of people have been shut down in the last few weeks. I hate to tell you this, but…

PayPal is Out to Get US!

PayPal Doesn’t Like Internet Marketers! They don’t like affiliate programs. They will shut you down if they find you’re selling anything that has to do with work at home or making money online.

But here’s the IRONY: PayPal allows ClickBank to sell some of the WORST business opportunity products on the planet and they have the highest refund rates! That’s right, ClickBank (not the merchant) sells the products through PayPal.

But we’re just little fish, right? Too much of a risk for the mighty PayPal.

What can you do?

My advice is to get familiar with an alternate processor like 2CheckOut or AlertPay. I’m using my merchant account to process credit cards through Authorize.net and haven’t seen any drop in conversions. Everybody has a credit card, right?

I’m also setting up a new project with AlertPay. They are exactly like PayPal except they allow business opportunities and even MLM programs. It states that right in their terms of service. The cool thing about AlertPay is that they approve your site before you can accept credit cards. So there’s nothing to worry about.

I based my entire business on PayPal. Now I’m starting over. Don’t make that mistake.

Take a Stand! Leave a comment and tell me what you think…

All the best!
Derrick

Seeing that I am only paying for stuff all the time and haven't been able to earn any income with anything, must make myself rather safe as I am using both paypal and alertpay to subscribe to programs. Haven't found anything paying yet

@Brenda there is a very suspect program out there that is being pushed using Todd and Derrick's names as the people who have created this program. In my view this programis a scam but in order to make it look credible the people behind it are putting out press releases etc using the names of these two. I have checked both of their personal blogs and neither one is promoting this program through their own blogs but they supposedly created it.

Now What I think has happened here is that Paypal

I've heard a few horror stories from PayPal in the past regarding freezing accounts for no valid reason whatsoever.

In my short experience I haven't had one single problem with PP about these matters but then again I haven't really made any real big transactions with them either.

From what I know and have read online, if you get your account frozen by what you might think is a mistake, I believe you can try reasoning with these guys in order to give a second look at your scenario and get y

Todd and Derrick need to check where their names are on the internet and find out exactly why PayPal has done this instead of assuming Paypal is out to get Internet Marketers. Both of their names are being used to push a program that I believe is a scam. Nor do I believe Todd or Derrick are involved in this program since I don't see them promoting or talking about it.

This is more than likely another nightmare generated by Identity theft. I will take this petition with a grain of salt and
