How to Configure a Linksys router?

Step 1. Test the internet connection 

First, you need to make sure your internet connection actually works. If you haven’t already, plug the cable modem directly into the back of the system and make sure you can get onto the internet. You may need to reboot the machine first.

Step 2. Connect the modem and router to the system

Attach the modem to the router and the device to the computer. The modem will connect to the device’s internet port.
