Do router power cycling

You can run the ping test through your router after assigning a static IP address to your computer. Steps to ping the IP address to your computer:
On Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 - Press the Windows button to access the start button. Type CMD in the search bar, Command prompt will appear in a search result. Click on the CMD icon on your search result to open the command prompt page.
On Windows 7 and Vista - Click on the start button, enter cmd in the search bar, click on CMD icon in the search result.
On Windows XP - Click on the start, go to - Run, enter cmd, then click on ok.
Now, type TestPC1> ping google.com or any website of your choice.
Ping result gets displayed showing ping statics, for example - packets sent = 4, the packets received = 4, lost 0, when a lost packet is zero, your internet is working fine.
