My printer is a little older. Help me find it

When you choose this option, a dialog window that looks for your printer appears. You have a few solutions if the printer is not detected; however, most of them go beyond the scope of this easy tutorial and could need further details from your home network equipment or, if it's at work, your IT staff.

- Select a shared printer by name

Every device connected to your network will have a name assigned to it by the network, IT, or you. You can either leave the Browse (setup epson printer) area empty and click Browse to view all uninstalled printers, or you can write the name of the network printer to search for it (take note of the format of the samples under the Browse field).

- Add a printer using an IP address or hostname

This is comparable to physically adding a printer. In the dialog box that appears, enter the printer's hostname or IP address after selecting this option and clicking Next. In order to finish the process, click Next.

 - Add a Bluetooth, wireless, or network-discoverable device

Select this option, then click Next to start the computer's device search. Double-click the entry to install it if the device you're looking for is visible.

- Add a local printer or a network printer with manual settings
