Cade Mcnown is 35 years old, and he was born on January 12, 1977. Mcnown is a former professional football player who enjoyed a career in the NFL. When he played for the NFL, he was a quarterback. He was also a college football player. While he played college football he was recognized as an All-American. He played college football for UCLA, located in California.
Cade Mcnown ended up being picked in the 1999 NFL draft. The Chicago Bears decided to select him in the first round. He enjoyed playing for the Bears and then he enjoyed a stint with the Miami Dolphins. He also enjoyed a stint with the San Francisco 49ers.
Mcnown attended high school in Hollister, California but he transferred to another high school located in West Linn, Oregon. While in Oregon he played free safety and quarterback.
Due to his talents, he was able to lead his school to the Oregon Class 4A semifinals, which was back in 1994. That was when local newspapers started to say that he was a college prospect. While in high school he was part of the track team. While he was part of the track team he broke the pole vault record.
After he left high school UCLA decided to sign him. Brock Huard, who eventually went onto play in the NFL, played a major role in influencing Mcnown to sign with UCLA. Actually, when Huard and Mcnown were in high school, they were the top prospects, when it came to quarterbacks, in the western USA back in 1994.
Mcnown also has some impressive stats. As of 2002 he made 515 pass attempted. As far as pass completions go he made 281 completions. He also got 3,111 passing yards. He also received a relatively high quarterback score, which was 67.7.
The football player enjoyed 4 seasons in the NFL. As mentioned earlier he joined three professional football teams throughout his career. First he played for the Chicago Bears from 1999-2000. From there he went on to join the Miami Dolphins in 2001 and then he finally joined the San Francisco 49ers, where he was with them throughout the 2002 until the 2003 off-season. The reason why he was let go is because he suffered a shoulder injury before joining the 49ers but then he ended up re-injuring the same shoulder and he needed surgery.
Mcnown has now retired from professional football but he did say that he does miss playing professionally.
