1.       A little old, a little new – Ahmadabad

Ahmadabad in Gujarat is a very historical city. You have so much to see like the Sabarmati River, Gandhiji’s Ashram, Kankaria Lake, Sidi Saiyad Jali, Sarkhej Roja, Jama Masjid and much more! This rich heritage city is best visited in October and November when it is neither too hot nor too cold.

2.       The big Temple – Thanjavur

Thanjavur is one of the oldest cities in the state of Tamil Nadu and it enveloped by lots of greenery and fresh environment. The main sources of income for the locals come from farming and weaving. The place has a world heritage site, the Brihadeeswara Temple or the “Big Temple” which is located in the heart of the city. It was built with architectural designs which are used even today. The city has other historical sites like the Saraswati Mahal Museum where you will see many accessories and equipments which were used by kings of the era bygone.

3.       Old heritage is gold – Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar in Orissa is not only worth a visit in itself but also closely connects to other famous places like Puri, Konark, Chilka, Cuttack, Khandagiri, Ratnagiri, Dhauli, etc. The Udayagiri and Khandagiri caves are situated in the outskirts of the city. When you go to Dhauli from Bhubaneswar, you will find emperor Ashoka’s rock edicts. The battlefield of the Kalinga War is on the fields which surround Dhauli hills. A few km from Bhubaneswar is the town of Pipli, where you can find appliqué work handicrafts.

4.       The vibrant history – Bhopal
Bhopal is surrounded by a number of picnic spots and lakes which are mesmerizing. Few of the historical places include the Lake View, Bhimbethka, Mahadev Tekri, Mahadev Paani, Sanchi Stupa, and many other places. The condition of the roads and the transportation facilities are quite good. You can get a sumptuous variety of food in Bhopal. It lies right in the heart of the country.

5.       Roll back in Time – Kolkata
They say that Kolkata is a city with a soul. Warm people, rich culture and lots of sightseeing. There are many places to explore in Kolkata like the science city, Nicco Park, Victoria Memorial, the iconic Eden Gardens and much more. The Howrah Bridge is a wonder in itself, especially at night when it is lighted. It is a living example of British engineering.
