“Pst Extractor Pro” is a tool that I found very immensely helpful in order to convert Outlook 2011 Pst to Entourage. Here's what you need to know about it.

It is a different thing to switch from one app (program) to other inside the same computer. It is a whole different beast to switch data between computers. And it's  a beast from the whole other dimension to switch from Windows to Mac. That's when it all begins. The headaches, sounds in your head, and haunting visions.

If you are not yet satisfied with your appetite for destruction, know that I am not merely talking about moving from Windows to Mac, but to moving the emails from Windows Outlook 2007 to Entourage for Mac. Yeah!

I had never seen anyone doing or talking about email migration personally. That's make the whole event more troubling for me. Most users who even convert their data from Outlook Pst to Entourage don't face problems. Why? Because their emails are generally stored on servers. So when you move to Entourage on Mac, you simply add your email client (Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) and it will sync the data itself from the servers. When your data isn't stored on servers but offline on Windows in Pst files in Outlook, that's when you have signed up for a manic depression and stress disorder.

I think you have sensed that I went through this process pretty recently and I am not too happy. So I am not going to hide it anymore; and I wasn't doing a good job doing it.

This is what happened. I threw my Windows PC down the 23rd story for some reason and brought a new Mac, installed Entourage, and celebrated. Then realized that all my emails were inside the Windows Outlook, and I was clueless what to do anymore.

A little desperate search on internet that continued for one whole night informed me about the possibility of converting Pst files into Entourage supporting files. Further down the research, I found out about “Pst Extractor pro” that does exactly that. There were pretty good reviews and users had given good ratings.

So I ignored it.

And started trying something that I don't understand till date. It had something to do with creating IMAP accounts, copying and pasting files from somewhere to somewhere, deleting something, and then making accounts inside Entourage. If it sounds like a plan that succeeded, let me tell you that it didn't.

I went back to “Pst Extractor Pro”, downloaded it, installed it, used it. What now follows isn't very interesting for a story. Because the whole process was smooth, easy, devoid of dramatic scenes, and there were no cries and sighs. It also ended pretty soon. All of my emails were transferred from Outlook 2007 Pst to Entourage with calmness and tranquility and in just few minutes. And it didn't do much. Simply loaded my Pst files, chose the output format as “Entourage”, chose the folders for conversion, and clicked “Convert”. Sorry to disappoint for not giving an exciting turn of events.

However, if you are not interested in a story full of sound and fury, but actually want to do the same – convert Outlook 2007 (or of any version) Pst to Entourage easily and without much drama – use “Pst Extractor Pro”. You can download it here (http://www.pstextractorpro.com/). It will let you do the whole task effortlessly and give accurate conversion results.

I was concerned about some very important emails that were not in English language. I was also concerned about the attachments, about the images inside emails, about the structure of my email folders (which were so sophisticated and complex that only I can make sense of, and only when I am in normal mood). So with such a complex data inside Outlook 2007 Pst files, there is no surprise that I was so concerned.

Again to your disappoint, there were no loss of anything. I didn't cry or shout because of something that I didn't find later after conversion. Every single thing was there without any corruption, damage, loss, or unwanted modification. Basically, the tool created replica of my Pst file with every single item remaining intact, except that the format was now supported for Entourage.

Get its free copy here (http://www.pstextractorpro.com/)and don't make your life a drama by this nightmare task of email migration.
