Apple Mail to Rge Migration Solutions for Everybody
Apple Mail to Rge Migration is challenging to say the least. With “Mail Extractor Max”, even the most basic user can perform the Apple Mail conversion to Rge.
I have been using Apple Mail for quiet some time now. I am fairly good with its functionality, know how to send and receive emails, and know how to manage them. I know fully how to utilize the features of Apple Mail to its maximum. However, it was time to be aware of my inability now.
I decided to use Entourage. Apple Mail is quiet a functional and efficient way to manage emails, no doubt. But I keep experimenting with things and see how it turns out. When IT deptt in my office installed Thunderbird in our brand new Mac systems, I liked it instantly. There were few features that were lacking in Apple Mail, and it really made me realize that Thunderbird would be slightly better in the way I want to manage my emails.
And the best thing about Thunderbird, besides its impressive range of features and functions, is that it is free and an open source email client. I am not really sure how it would benefit me by being open source, but I sure as hell know that I don't have to pay any money. “Free” is the word most of the humanity has to come understood and adore, regardless of the language.
And so I did. Thunderbird was now ready to be used. But, the first time I looked at it, its empty screen stared at me sharply. There was nothing to see, no emails to manage, and no contacts to communicate with. Dark and piercing nothingness. So I added my Gmail account and it took some time to sync with the server. I got my emails that were on server on Thunderbird. Cool.
It didn't take long for me to realize that the emails are not complete. Few folders were missing. I was missing some of my older emails that had important information about my clients, some contacts of my friends, etc. I frequently go back to my old emails to check information that are stored inside them, so I got a little tensed to not see them in Thunderbird.
Then I hit me.
The data in Apple Mail is not all stored on server. There were offline files inside the Apple Mail database that had my emails. I actually deleted the content online a long time ago, and worked with the data offline. So when I synced my account through Gmail, I only got the data that was in server.
Through a lot of research, I found out how to convert the data from Apple Mail to Thunderbird. It was through the file converters, which can convert the database of Apple Mail to Rge files, because Rge file format is used by Thunderbird. But then I realized how inefficient and misinformed I was about all this transferring hassle.
Luckily, I found “Mail Extractor Max”, and it surpassed all my expectations. The biggest hurdle that I expected was the difficult in actually using it, trying to understand the features. But lo and behold, the overall GUI of Mail Extractor Max is simple down to earth. Not literally, but you get the point.
Actually, the tool has just one simple screen with few buttons it – Load, choose folders, and convert. So all I did was let the tool automatically load the data from Apple Mail, and then chose the folders that I want to convert the Rge, choose 'Rge' from the list of output formats, and click 'convert'.
Within minutes, I got all the data converted to Rge files, which were then ready to be imported to Thunderbird. Pretty simple, right?
It was.
I recommend the tool highly. Until now, such types of computer tasks were kept aside to be dealt with experts. But with the help of “Mail Extractor Max”, not so much. Install it, launch it, and you are good to go.
