The American telecommunications company, AT&T, has decided to introduce its new super-fast internet service in Cupertino. The management of the telecommunications firm announced that it has introduced its new super-fast service, Giga Power, in some areas of the American state. Some residents of the city can now log in for the service.

It is anticipated by that this new service would be able to attain an internet speed of one gigabyte per second, which is nearly seven times faster than the fastest broadband service offered by the American internet service provider, Comcast. The speed of this new service is more than 20 times faster than the fastest service provided by the same telecommunications firm in the area.

The Mayor of the American city has appreciated the latest service. Its launch was not surprising for the citizens of the American state, as they had predicted to be among the first communities to get the service.

ATT affirms that Cupertino is the first city of the United States of America to get the high-speed service. The citizens of the state are able to access the service at a time when demand for the speedy service is vague. AT&T is providing Giga Power service by equipping their customer’s residences with fiber optic data cables that are capable of delivering far more bandwidth than the copper cables employed by the telecommunications companies to provide conventional phone service and outdated DSL based service.

It is estimated that the service would be able to download HD movies in 36 seconds. In this manner, it would play an important role in saving the time of its users. AT T breaking news reported that the service provider would charge $110 a month for offering the one-gigabyte service. Similarly, it will charge $180 a month for triple play service, which would also allow its users to engage in unlimited calling. It is speculated that these prices would increase in the future.

The users of the Giga Power services must agree to permit the management of AT&T to keep a track of their online activities for the purpose of promoting products to them. The users of other internet services had never needed to allow their service provides to track their online activities. However, if customers decide to opt out of the tracking commitment, then they would have to pay $29 dollars extra each month. Now it is yet to be seen that to which extent this newly introduced high speed is able to facilitate the customers of the American telecommunications corporation.
