Dubai is set to undergo major transformations as part of the new "Quality of Life Strategy 2033". His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has announced a sweeping new "Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033" that will dramatically transform the emirate. The program will see Dubai build more than 200 new parks, open women's beaches, create new wildlife conservation facilities and introduce the concept of 20-minute accessibility.

The Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, which includes more than 200 projects, initiatives and supporting plans, will be implemented in three phases from 2024 to 2033. It covers 10 key areas related to the well-being of residents: culture and entertainment, natural environment, urban environment, mobility, community and family, economic environment, employment and working conditions, education, safety and health.

The new strategy aims to ensure unique well-being for society, guided by three main objectives. The first goal is to promote well-being at the individual level. This involves developing development plans that prioritize the stability and happiness of each member of society.

The second key objective is centred around communities. It aims to improve lives, with a particular focus on emotional wellbeing and building a cohesive community that is proud of its identity, preserves its cultural heritage and Emirati values, and celebrates its connection to Dubai’s achievements.

The third key objective is to enhance overall well-being at the city level. This objective aims to create a unique urban experience for citizens, residents and visitors of the emirate, focused on meeting human needs.

The strategy envisions a city with accessible beaches, ample open spaces, recreational areas and parks that promote a healthy environment for both residents and visitors. Sheikh Hamdan said: "Today, we have approved the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 as part of our efforts to raise our global status in the economy, as well as in innovation and well-being.
