Group Subjects & Comments are NOT for posting Advertisments! Apsense Group subjects and comments are for quality discussions, NOT Advertisments! Discussions increase the amount of quality information within Apsense, this in turn will provide more and more quality advise and helpful information to everyone. We do understand that most Apsense users have their own businesses and advertisments are important. This is why we have advanced ad posting systems as well as many direct communication features for users to stay in contact. Please use the features given to you to build your business: 1) Apsense's Ad Network - Post your ads using apsense credits to get your business out to all apsense users. 2) Build your network and Post bulletins to your entire network with one click! 3) Build your contact list and send messages directly to your contacts. 4) Put yourself and your business in the "spotlight" in our spotlight contest weekly. 5) If You have setup your signature that is too long or too BIG the subtlety goes out the window and your comment will be looked on as spamming! SPAM ADVERTISMENTS in group discussions is NOT the answer. ----------------------------------- Apsense Business Page... coming June 2007

Hi Sandra,

The Spam rating was dropped after those that originally wanted spam control turned 180 degrees and demanded it be removed when it was implimented.

Hi Bj,

thanks for clarifying some aspects on Apsense policy.

As a new member here, I do not know anything about spam rating. So, as you suggested I browsed the FAQ but haven't found the info. I even searched for blog entries on this and subjects as well. Can you please send me a link to this FAQ section or explain it here. How can I find out my spam score or any other members?

Thanks

Just a little learning curve of where you can actually promote a business here so no disrespect intended just need to know the ropes and then i can follow the yellow brick road.

Hi Beth

Yes it has made it a lot easier to decide if a post or comment is spam or not.

Any post or comment by any member in this group with a url /sollicitation above the dashed line will be removed, with no explanation required.

Thanks Bj for your patience in explaining the spam rating over and over to many of us! (smile)

Isn't it cool that we now have a live signature for when we comment?

That is the best feature I have seen added here to date! Besides each and every other one!

All my best!

How about blogs???

I just have checked my blogs. There is a BIG mess there. All my work is perverted and inverted now. Maybe it's a technical problem or Apsense do not want links on blogs anymore...

But then, why HTML code is there? Are we here at Apsense, like ADAM and EVE in the Garden of Eden !? It's a SIN to use HTML code?

Smile friends... : )

There is a thread about this now at:
http://www.apsense.com/subject/15472.html

Who has the answers...?

There are mant members
asking why they have a spam score of <60%

And when they are asked do you see

Spam Rating: 100%
Spammer's Rating < 60% History

and the history is empty

They say Yes

So they have no spam reports against them.
They have not clicked on the spam score (it is a link) to read the FAQ.

Hello everyone...

I was just contacted by someone who is an upstanding member and does not spam! and his rating is now 60% for no apparent reason...

Can this happen to people even if they weren't spamming? should a report have to be made regarding this?

How long will it take to get his good rating back?

I think it's 4 weeks ! FOUR weeks!????

Hi Lifestyle,

The no advertising is only applicable to the "APSense Group" as per the group description.

For the other groups created by members.
The rules for the groups are down to the Group owner to decide. If they want to allow advertising or not is the group owners prerogative.

This is one of the reasons there are so many groups that I refer to as "spam farms". The owners know that if they allow free advertising they will get lots of people posting there and so get high honor poi

Apologies if i overlooked this if it was already mentioned...

If someone starts a group - specifically for advertising and promotion - does that mean that group isn't allowed ?

I assume it is only for spam advertising within legitimate discussion posts.

That's a really good question... usually it is very clear if you can promote or "discuss" your own business with the group...

Hi Thomas,

We have our own groups we can create to do what you ask.

When you set up your group title correctly giving a good indication of what its about. Someone looking for information on your subject should find you.

If you are doing a group about training then include training

Hi talentscout,

In my opinion The Apsense group is primarily for help about APSense., and If you pose a specific question then the person should be able to give you an answer without promoting a specific link, apart from an APSense help page i.e. the link to the FAQ or the link to the getting started page etc.

Once an answer is posted then if you like the answer you can always click on that person’s pic and go to their profile and see what other

Hi Terrence,

You are welcome.

Another point that I forgot to mention is that nothing will put new people off faster than seeing the main support Group flooded with ads, and people posting invites to their Groups.

Instead they will be able to see what questions have been asked and possibly finding their answer without having to post the same question again, or they will see that if they post a question it is not going to get lost.

It will also be a

It's okay to join groups and add your your links so people know what you do for a living anyway. This is a group of people that need to become friendly and make the best of it. We are all from different states and countries. Sharing information is not a bad thing.

Enjoy each other while we are here in this earth. We don't live for ever.

Let's have fun

Thank You

Thanks so much for staying on top of keeping this place clean, especially for those of us out there who spam whether intentionally or by not reading.
