.... well no not yet, but if there was a seperate section for posting classified advertisements (not including the regular side bar advertisements), the main "Social Networking" site would be free for well... Social Networking... At least then APsense Express would be full of useful content and articles instead of 90% being advertisements.

Hi Lynn,

I see your point.

I guess my melancholy / choleric personality has a place for everything (and has everything in its place).

I wasn't being negaive about the top / drop feature, the opposite in fact. Its about the only way to keep the content clean!

It's time for me to do a Group clean-up. Self promotion groups will no longer be on my list (regardless of content).

I would think that since this site was launched as a networking community. That would be the main focus. There are places for ads, be it in groups or blogs(classifieds) or you can place them on the site with your credits, or you can buy them. The point that I am trying to make is that if there are more places to post ads, than that is what there will be...more ads. The more groups that you belong to, the more chance you have of receiving ad alerts on your express feature. Most ads are really eas

Thanks for the thumbs up Beth.

I guess i don't mind the odd drop or 2 in a post.

I'm guessing the majority of "drops" from this topic would be from those who can't see past the "blatant desperation" mindset.

My Business is doing quiet well. And i don't advertise (Except for google adwords). I can see past the need to. Regular contributons to forums and social networks like this makes more sense and is FAR more productive. In addition of course to SEO techniques etc. And of course Googl

Maybe an actual Classified Ads section is a good idea but for a different reason... what that would be ? I don't know... other than I would imaging it's been discussed by APSense creators?

they could charge for hourly placement... get a little revenue... that sort of thing?

just a thought,

Hello Lynn, Eric and Bj...

There are Groups of all sorts and if you belong to one that doesnt allow ads and there's a new comment or post... it's going to come thru APSense Express or you'll get an email notification if you've chosen that option...isn't that how it works?

I'm a marketer who writes about marketing and I post my businesses in Groups that are intended for that purpose.

I also contribute to groups that are for entertainment, or discussion of internet matters other than my p

Hi Eric

If there is any good content in the groups that allow mass advertising then I have not seen it.

Probably because all the ads keep the good stuff buried.

Yes but there is No categorised Classified ads section. A place where people go to place and view ads from targeted categories.

There are quiet a few groups for advertising in but a lot of them groups have good content worth subscribing too with the advertising as an option just to get people to sign up to the group.

One thing i learnt after thousands of hours advertising online was that advertising shows desperation by default.

Now that the signature feature has been switched on - Co

We do have a classified ads section in our blog categories. That has helped with all the ads that were getting posted there. Now that the groups are in categories, that will help some. But, there are always going to be members advertising. Now its up to members to use the drop and top feature to keep quality content on the top pages. There are also groups that focus on non-advertising aspects. Lynn
