New feature - What my Friends are doing
I have just seen the new item that has been added to the system that Kristian mentioned yesterday would be being added and it looks great.
The new "What My Friends Are Doing" feature looks good and is not intrusive.
This will help us to track what our contacts are doing.
if you click the red x it will close the floating window
if you want to show it again there are two ways to do so.
1. it will appear next day automatically
2. If you want to activate it again before the next day go to "My Account" and you will see "What My Friends Are Doing"
This is located just to the right of how many contacts have added you into their contact list, just above the green "Invite Friends" image.

Hi Penny,
Its programed to follow the page down as you scroll so it probably wouldn't work unless that programming was removed first.

I'm no programmer, but I have seen widgets like this where if you click and hold on the top bar, you can move and place it around the page. If that were possible, it would be easier to leave the widget on all the time.

I do this, but usually on the page you have an article or group subject, right? Try to see who is on the page when the article is very short. It's impossible... because the scroling stops and the widget is over my friends' faces! But I enjoy to see their faces ;-) So I hit the X !

You may try to scroll your page to the bottom.
The float window will not cover "page readers".

I like this feature very much, I readily can see what my friends are doing and can go to look at their posts and comment also. Nice feature.

Wow this is a really nice feature.
I think I saw when people would post comments up on their pages. I really like this new feature. Although sometimes it seems to not work for me.

I'm actually beginning to like this feature. It can be useful for finding out about new discussions that have been posted or even comments posted on the current discussions. It's gives me an option besides Apsense Express to keep an eye on the activity.

What's your opinion about the position of new tool "WHAT MY FRIENDS ARE DOING"?
- Because that widget covers the right side bar, many times I'm tempted to close it... When the article is short, I can't see the RECENT READERS !
- Wouldn't be better to have it on the left side of the page?

Your suggestion is good, our friend notification only tell you what your friends did in the last 1 hrs. You may close it anytime by clicking "x" icon.

I,m using IE 7. I also have firefox, I have not tried it on there. I will do when I come back to it later.

Hello,
after a few days with the new feature I would prefer to have a button to minimize it, if I don't need it, and can maximize, if I want to see it again.
It's very interesting, right, you can reply to friends comments and you are always up to date, but sometimes is disturbes also, as you can't move it to another place on the screen and is hiding the perhaps important things behind.
Try please to add the minimize button and it will be perfect.

Now apsense supports IE 6.0, 7.0 and FireFox.
btw, I also can use Opera mobile version to visit apsense.

I only have just seen that and tried it out but it wouldn,t open. I,m not sure if the problem is on my part or if theres a problem on apsense part. It just kept saying "error".
I tried it because I thought it would be agood way of getting to know whos on my friend list. x

I also think it is excellent. I'm quite new to Apsense, and the new tool has helped me see what my friends are doing, as well as really learn what this is all about.

I personally I think the two options described in the initial post I made are more than sufficient.
Both are very simple to use and work so why complicate it with more.
Somtimes less is better.

You can just close it using the "X" in the top right corner. You can also go to your profile and click the link when you want to see what others are doing.
Perhaps it would be good to have the option to have it automatically appear when we first visit or just simply follow the link in our profile. It would only require an "ON" / "OFF" feature.
