Advertising?
What happened to the advertising and the credits. They seem to have disappeared. Is so we have to buy advertising now? This was suppose to be free advertising for your business. I guess that is gone now...sigh

It is interesting to me when I looked at what this program has done with ratings - for example - when I looked up firstvision in google search and crossed it with alexa - the ranking wih my writing page came out at 51,301 which is vary high considering I don't write much but just as important if not more so was the top liinks that came out when I did the google search for firstvision - the following site came out almost on top but on the first page - http://www.apsense.com/subject/12115.html

I think this system is fantastic! I don't see it as being driven by greed at all. APSense is sharing revenues from ADsense ads and from the feature ads, and giving incentive to produce high quality content. So now instead of earning free ad credits, you earn cash. You can use your cash to advertise on other member's content pages instead of using your free credits to advertise. In my view, this is a win/win for all concerned!
Change can be difficult, but it can also be exciting. I don't

Hi Bob
Your 2 cents is not from credits.
It has been said several times that credits will be (note the operative words "will be") converted at $1 per thousand.
This has not yet happened.

I also saw something about the credits being converted to cash. I had well over 7000 credits and got 0.02 for them. However if I had some people buy through the advertisements that I had up........
Do you see where this is going? 2 cents doesn't buy much does it? I will see what else comes from this but so far the entire WOA has colapsed what we did have initially. This is now something I have to market on a different level. You might as well just pay google, yahoo and MSN and get exposure to m

Hi Selya and David,
For the Greedy people money always has been and always will be the only driving force. None of us will change them.
I am looking at it this way. By observation of what happens over the next few weeks I am convinced we will be able to pick out the corn from the chaff.

Thanks Lynn, I hope these changes are not written in stone.
WOA is not at all what I expected, it now looks like money
is the only driving force.

Everyone.....take a look at the very top of the page here....read what it says, I think they should reconsider a new slogan. I'm not knocking Apsense, I really think this is one of the better Social Networking places online, but things go bad when you allow money to be the focus of what you are doing.
Just to share some advice one of the greatest men I ever met in my life shared repeatedly to us..."Keep it Simple" and to add my own bit "Always Let Money Be The By-Product of Your Efforts"

You will not be earning credits for running the apsense express. But there are still 3 valid reasons to continue to use it.
1. post bulletins to your total network
2. get notification if you get any comments in your subject or watchlist
3. get mail notification

Yes, you still earn exchange credits when you view other members business centers. But, you are also now earning money when members view your content pages. Lynn

I hate it when forums go downhill.
One forum that I use to love was sig link friendly at first.
Then it turned evil. One of the things I loved about it was checking people's siggy.
Direct Matches use to give away a ton of stuff for free and I had hundreds of people join. Now that don't give away so much and the sign ups are just a trickel.

I agree with Bob, I have no problem with paying for advertising and I do. As Bob said they did state that Apsense was and would be a free social business network, well....change is change and business plans do change I hope it works out for everyone.
I may be wrong, but heres my take on it. We are all here for the same reason whether you admit it or not, so now we are all going to start selling ad space to each other, everyone here is already promoting their own business most of us here at

Hit your account tab.
Look at your "short Cuts" box on the right.
Click on Sell my "ads by user".
The blog section is the top on showing, you may choose other tabs for different areas.
The Top box says set up own ads.
Enjoy the weekend, Lynn

It is true that you won't be earning advertisng credits any longer. But, they are now giving you the opportunity to earn real money in the form of revenue from the ads that are placed on your content pages. You also can either use the advertising space on your content for your own ads or sell the space to another member. And if you had advertising credits built up like myself and others did, they will be converting those to cash as their last newsletter stated. I hope this clears it up for you.

I have read this post. It basically says you need to pay for advertising now. When I joined it was suppose to be a free social networking site for businesses. It appears that isn't so any more. If you don't pay you can't play. If you don't get the traffic from spamming the blog or the group discussion, nobody will advertise with you. That takes away all the "social" part of this altogether. Think about it. You go to a club or something for a band you like. They don't show up and there is no repl
