Why do people like to judge people?

There are numerous reasons just to point out a few. Honestly, I also judge people, however, not for any of the 'reasons' mentioned above! ;-)

They are having a misconception about their public image and some suffer from superiority complex.

I think it depends on Individual's Nature & way of behavior.

Isn't judging other people a simple way of protecting yourself from danger, vulgar behavior, or even unpleasant habits? In other words don't we judge others in order to protect ourselves? I am referring to life in general, not internet marketing.
