I think in the rush to make money and sometimes people don't take the
time to build relationship. people with the money already have more time to build a lasting business relationship.

In response to the question posed, I also get frustrated by those who request to connect and immediately ask me to recommend them or join their group. I do not give recommendations for something I don't have any knowledge of or experience with. I have refused a few connection requests and a lot of requests for recommendations for this reason.

In short, sell yourself first and your product/program later. Minutes ago I had to decline a request. The person requested to be my contacts but wanting meto join his program. It is wise knowing the person's motives before accepting them.
This is where many (a good many) marketers are going wrong. In Apsense and other social sites, there are places like your Brand Marketing centre, your business centre where you can advertise. Concentrate on making friends, getting to know your friends, helping people where you can and generally building your reputation. This where people get to know you, learn to respect you and then look at your opportunity. The number of requests for recommendation, friend requests that I turn down is grow
