Well, I don't speak to anyone till I calm down. Because sometimes discussions lead to arguments when I may angry. So I try to stay calm by reading my favorite books.
When I am angry, I try to assess the situation and try to determine what part I played in becoming angry. I try to determine whether or not I did anything to cause the anger. I also try to cool off so I won't say anything I'll regret later. Once words leave our mouths, they can't be taken back.
