@Brian, you do NOT need a video camera to make a video. A simple solution is to make PowerPoint (or Open Office) slides and do a slide show. You can use Audacity to record the sound track and everything can be done free.

Creating video is so inexpensive and easy today. However, the only thing stopping me at the moment is owning a decent video camera - when I am ready...

Video marketing is a very popular way to promote your product and business. If you create video related to your product and brand, then you need to promote this video. So i want to suggest you better way, first you need to publish your video all popular video promotion site like youtube dailymotion etc. then after if you do social sharing on these videos profile url. You will definitely get more traffic on your website.

Dave it depends on your niche really.

For example I am looking heavily at http://www.ted.com/ because my idea and project is not like anything else online so ted seems to be a great video sharing site for me.

Then there is http://bigthink.com/ they consider themselves an idea hunters network. They do video among other things.
Then if you don't want sharing so much as hosting you can upload video's to

Then lets see....

@Dave there are many, but for traffic YouTube is king of the hill. The other one I use a lot (if I want privacy) is my own hosting on Amazon S3 where I have Easy Video Player installed.

Camtasia is not what I call expensive tools :)

But as I say, hopefully I will have some partnerships soon for this. :) The types of things I make video's to do need quality, and youtube is just one of many video sites.

I understand the power of video marketing and it is something I am exploring.

@Bruce, I have used YouTube to make contacts for many years and the majority of my videos don't have my face in them. I find the most popular topics are where I share my desktop to teach something other people want to learn.

I do use expensive software (Camtasia for $300) but there are many free tools you can get online that are absolutely simple to use, such as Screencast-O-Matic, Screenr, recording Google Hangouts with screen sharing and many more. Just do a Google search for free desktop rec

Hi Bruce,

The good thing with Youtube is its totally free, although I can understand your reasons for not wanting to and in that case Article writing is another good way of attracting people.

What stops me, is I won't put my face in a video for all sorts of reasons - some of which are health related.

The tools for making quality video's, are either expensive or hard to use, often times both. The services for having them created - are usually vastly expensive.

I have been searching for some partnerships with people who can do video's but as of yet haven't secured any deals. So eventually I suspect I will be using them.

Me, nothing. I have on my Youtube channel over 300 videos about anything and everything I've done for fun or work. This is a great way to promote business, entertainment, interests ... Good question, thanks.

Hi Guys,

Using video, is really good and having been in both your places as in I didn't know how to do it and I didn't want to um um my way through it, this is what I found...

I went to you tube, and loggedin to my account. Shot a video, with no script, which was pretty poor, but then I found ,that you can stop the video and redo it... as many times as you want!. I did just that. Now when you have done 3 or 4 videos, you start finding you want to do more, so you do

There are many benefits to
