How interesting that the second most important commandment is taken to mean the same as the 'Golden Rule'....The instruction to Love your neighbor as you love yourself, means I need to love others, without expecting them to return my good treatment and REGARDLESS of their response to me, in other words, regardless of whether I practice the golden rule. I would say the commandment has to do with 'living at a higher plane' in our relationships with others, regardless of how they treat you or even
You know we seem to have the answer for that, but I have been seeing that is not the truth. We speak it, but for me there is another question that haunts me. It is if we truly believe that the verse means treat others as we want to be treated. Then how much does that verse truly mean to us?
