Just offhand as there is a lot more to SEO than meets the eye and many ways to approach it - 1st depends what you want to rank high in. 2d Backlinks mean zip to Google unless they are high quality and authoritative. and 3rrd original content which even if thought original may not be so, you can use tools like plagiarism checker X, DMCA and Copyscape to name a few of many to check what is original. I have written off the top of my head and thought I was original and found out I was seen as a 67 %

No need to fret. obviously, you should delete that post and do some change that particular post (title and content). After that you will post.

Yes you should definitely delete the old posts and before getting them to new site make some significant changes to avoid plagiarism stuff.

Danette there are plenty of people that well 'talk the talk' but see if they are 'walking the walk' before you spend a lot of time. I subscribed to several $47 a month training sites that were supposed to teach us how to get #1 listings and finally realized what they were teaching us, was how to collect $47 a month from thousands of suckers so you could get rich yourself. How interesting.. so many different ideas.

As I am learning the hard way it is the back links that get your ranked not the posting. I asked the same question on warrform and most of the aff marketers said the same thing, google looks more at back links for ranking than your posting.

Danette how do you know? They don't send you a notice, they just don't include your website in the search results. I searched for learn to saltwater fish and didn't see you there in the first 5 pages.

I have two sites with duplicate content and google hasn't penalized me.

If I remember correctly, what Google doesn't like is to see 2 identical pages on the same site.

One thing, though, the first page where the article appears will be the only one indexed by Google, so be careful where you post it first.

So, in the case here, I guess it would mean rewrite it enough so that it doesn't appear identical as the first one.
