@Bruce Bates I agree that all HYP's should be removed from here, but Warren is right , also. Maybe there should be a warning page (updated regularly) about all HYIP's and other scams?
There are a few things that can be done....... First - as internet marketers and business owners, we should all take a proactive approach to educating others about the risks that come with participating in these types of activities including be personally responsible financially for those that they bring into those types of systems.
Education is by far the best answer and by far the least used method of preventing people from getting scammed.

A S Kumar, the owner will not allow such a thing, he holds 100% authority over everything. Rumor has it there was once a team of admin, and he wouldn't give them the authority to do anything - it was more or less a title role because he wouldn't allow others to make judgement calls. I actually think apsense is better because he doesn't allow these teams and groups to decide for the majority.
The truth is all of us with experience know what the scams are. The only problem is there are so many p
I think the owner should decide where its going. I consider him like the steve jobs of apsense. If Steve Jobs left things up to the people who used them, ipod, iphones, and ipads would be very different from the devices we see today. He had a great knack for what stays and what goes. I think the owner of this site is the same and I trust him fully to make the right calls about these things.
You have a good suggestion. I think the best way to implement you suggestion would be to have a screening committee on Apsense and only programs approved by them should be published so that no program which does not met all the requirements of a legal program will not be published.
I agree that as a community, we should all try to help one another, but we should be doing that by educating one another...NOT judging someone by the program that they are involved with. They might not even know it is illegal, or they might be a newbie. Let's just keep writing articles that explain the dangers of certain programs and commenting where they are being advertised. I do however think that there should be full disclosure rules of some kind set in place when an all out ad is placed.
I think we should look at what we, as a community, want APSense to become. Personally, I definitely do not like the articles/campaigns regarding any unrealistic schemes("scams"?) on APSense - just ruins the feel of the site. Isn't this a business social networking site? So, if it is somebody who asks for me to "like" their article or posts a "huge-profits" type of campaign/article, it leaves a bad taste (and thoughts, of course) about the person. I believe that most of us would agree with this,
HYIP's are ponzi that mot of us know and who ever is getting in is doing so understanding the risk(except for the newbies who are yet to learn). But there are so many programs that project themselves as genuine but are wolves in sheep's clothing. I feel people are losing more money in these programs than HYIP.
Only time will tell as the many years I have been here have demonstrated already. If we limit the reporting to HYIP as first indicated, I can see it succeeding. However I see very few pure HYIP schemes promoted here. Removing them alone will not make it a safe environment if you ignore the real culprits, which include all pyramid schemes with no real product that only pay if you recruit more suckers with money they quickly lose.
I am all for taking them out of Apsense. This should be a very safe environment for everyone. Some of the newbies may not know enough yet to ascertain that HYIP is illegal and a scam. I think it up to the rest of us to help keep this a safe and supporting community.
You guys have very good questions and very good points.
Let me tell you a little something. Some of you know the owner of this site, some of you don't. What I know of the owner of this site is he is a brilliant mind. I know he doesn't hand ANYONE power on this entire site. Its a one man show.
There are many who could verify this as well that even when he gave titles, he never gave the power.
When I went to him and mentioned getting the scams out, he was very simple in his reply. Report them
@Robbie, from my extensive experience that is the WORST way that could be utilized. The majority of members here have little to no experience and personal failure with any one program could be enough reason for them to complain with no real basis in facts.
I believe they should be removed. They target people that need to make money and are not experienced enough to know what this is. Just need to be careful that it is indeed a scam! Some legitimate business could get booted when they should not!

I think the APsense community should make the choice of where it is going and where it isn't.

All the scammers should be exposed whether it be hyip or anything else. I think let them be otherwise apsense members will miss out on scammers.
