You can eat sweets - It's an extremely serious condition, but diabetes doesn’t have to run (or ruin) your life. If you work with your doctor to monitor and control your blood sugar and commit to eating right and exercising...

My Leads Call Me

You can eat sweets but you must control the amount. My daughter has Type 1 and takes insulin shots 4 times a day and she can still eat sweets if she watches it very closely. My wife has Type 2 and she eats sweets.

I agree with Warren. Extremes are always bad. If the person can maintain control of glucose levels, why not eat something sweet from time to time. A good diet is necessary. My dad want to enter the discussion. False(answer)

Absolutely FALSE, I have had type II Diabetes for over a decade and eat sweets all the time. You just need to balance and plan so it doesn't go over your limits for carbohydrate consumption over a three month period as indicated by your HA1C results.

Thanks for your quick reply: People with type 2 diabetes need to watch their weight and maintain a healthy, balanced diet. But in moderation, and as part of a healthy meal plan, desserts or other sugary foods are not off limits.
