Is Google Page Rank is Important for Ranking?

No Google Page rank is not much important for keyword ranking. Keyword ranking depend on your keyword references/ Text links for particular word and other side Google pr depend on your Reputed no. links.

It is important, however, shouldn't the rankings be more about QUALITY than QUANTITY? :-)

In my experience I realized that it's important but not crucial. My free blogs for my keywords are more competitive than websites that have even page rank 5. But I also realized if the keyword is high competitive than the page rank has higher role.

Not important but links does! Presently, there are people who can argue that it is while others don't see its relevant.
In short, we cannot entirely dismiss it but the most important thing is to focus more on how to increase on relevant of traffic, sales and ROI.

That's means if my website has page rank 7 then its ranking is high as compared to PR 5 website?
